MEDIA ADVISORY
BOCA RATON, FL / PR FREE / Oct 26 2011 --
Internationally renowned South African photographer and designer Gerald Hoberman has produced a landmark coffee table book on Miami (Miami and the Beaches ISBN 978-191993982-7), published by The Hoberman Collection and due for release Nov. 4, 2011.

Setting a new standard for the subject, Miami and the Beaches is printed with an array of luxury finishes – triple coated art papers, varnished photographs and a striking printed silk cloth cover. The book showcases “The Magic City” of Miami with over 360 full color photographs in Hoberman’s well-known photographic style of “captured serendipity” and also includes dramatic landscapes, aerial photos (from the famous Goodyear blimp) and portraits of well known local personalities.

Hoberman provides the fascinating and well-researched text and an historical overview is provided by Dr. Paul S. George, Professor of history at Miami-Dade College and historian to the Historical Museum of Southern Florida.

Miami and The Beaches is produced in the Hobermans’ popular “Chunky Format”, 7.4” x 5.4” and 1” thick, following the international success of London (now in its 4th edition), South Africa (now in its 2nd Edition) and the celebrated Carnival of Venice.

“Gerald Hoberman’s gorgeous photographs…offer an enticing peek of paradise.”
Matti Herrera Bower - Mayor, City of Miami Beach

“…a rare occasion when a photographer manages to capture a Miami that is, on one hand, familiar, yet, on the other hand, fresh and exciting, it comes as a surprise indeed.”
William Talbert III, CDME, President & CEO, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau

MIAMI AND THE BEACHES (ISBN 978-191993982-7) will be available at all leading book stores from Nov. 4, 2011.
